Armenian expert: Linguists should analyze statements of Baku dictator
The statements of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev should be subjected to systematic linguistic analysis, Armenian expert on Iran Vardan Voskanyan said on Sunday.
"It seems that, in general, linguists have nothing to do in terms of their professional activity in a state of war, but it would be very interesting and useful if the statements of the Baku dictator were systematically analyzed,” he wrote on Facebook.
“In my opinion, such work first of all entails an identification of the recurring topics and theses of the statements: definitions of semantic contrasts (friend-enemy), precedents related to his speech (what was said and what happened afterwards), means of verbal influence on the public consciousness of his own and foreign societies and others,” the expert said.
