Armenia reports 973 new coronavirus cases, 18 deaths on October 26
Armenia has confirmed 973 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 78,810 as of 11 a.m. Monday, October 26, the Ministry of Health reports.
254 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 51,162.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 18 to 1,196. The latest victims were 69 (male), 93 (male), 82 (female), 83 (female), 56 (female), 70 (female), 73(female), 79 (male),79 (male), 74 (female), 79 (male), 93 (female), 71 (female), 74(female), 84 (female) and 55 (male) years old. Except the last patient, all had underlying chronic health conditions. Four other patients carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.
One death was recorded when the patients tested positive for the virus but the cause of the death was another disease. The number of such cases is 339.
The number of active cases is 26,113. As many as 379,541 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
