Azerbaijan uses Smerch to attack Artsakh’s Zardarashen village
The Azerbaijani military used Smerch rocket launchers to attack the village of Zardarashen in Artsakh’s Martuni region, the Artsakh Defense Army said in a statement on Monday.
“Despite the ceasefire agreement reached in the United States, the Azerbaijani forces launched an offensive in the southeastern sector of the frontline, continuing to shell the peaceful settlements as well,” the military said.
“In particular, at around 1:50 p.m. the enemy used Smerch MLRS in the direction of Zardarashen village of the Martuni region, firing one missile.
“Defense Army subdivisions are waging defense battles to repel the offensives of the enemy and push them back to starting positions,” the statement read.
