Armenian people ready for compromises, but not capitulation of Artsakh, PM says
The Armenian people are ready for compromises but will never accept the capitulation of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) sought by Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Monday.
In a live video on Facebook, the premier stated the Armenian side has been maximally flexible in its approaches, which Azerbaijan has never accepted, because they wanted more.
“We have to realize that Azerbaijan doesn’t want the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It wants the capitulation of Karabakh,” he said.
“The Armenian people are ready even for painful concessions, but the Armenian people are not ready for capitulation under any circumstances and no matter how much impossible it may seem taking into account our limited resources, the Armenian people must find resources to resist and to defend their rights," Pashinyan said.
