Armenia reports 1,600 new coronavirus cases on October 27
Armenia has confirmed 1,600 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 80,410 as of 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, the Ministry of Health reports.
652 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 51,814.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 26 to 1,222. The latest victims were 71 (female), 69 (female), 58 (male), 72 (male), 71 (male), 67 (male), 58 (male), 80 (male), 74 (female), 67 (male), 69 (male), 52 (male), 83 (male), 65 (male), 76 (female), 69 (female), 79 (female), 75 (male), 74 (female), 70 (male), 72 (male), 54 (female), 74 (male), 66 (female), 72 (male) and 61 (female) years old. Except for the last one, all had underlying chronic health conditions. 8 other patients carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.
The number of active cases is 27,027. As many as 382,938 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
