As a result of appropriate operations of the Artsakh forces, the Azerbaijani firing positions deployed in depth were silenced, the Artsakh Defense Army said in a statement on Wednesday.

“During the day the enemy continued to keep civilian settlements of Artsakh under fire.  In particular, the Azerbaijani forces bombarded Shushi and Stepanakert from Smerch MLRS, causing great damage to the maternity hospital of the capital, and the civilian infrastructures of both cities. One killed and several wounded are reported. As a result of commensurate operations of the Defense Army, the enemy firing positions deployed in depth were silenced,” the military said.

“The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh calls on the adversary to remain committed to the agreements on the humanitarian truce, otherwise an adequate response will not be slow in coming,” the statement said.
