Azerbaijan launches renewed strikes on Artsakh civilian areas
The Azerbaijani forces are carrying out fresh strikes on Artsakh’s capital city of Stepanakert, as well as Shushi and Martakert towns from Smercհ multiple launch rocket systems, the Artsakh Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
“Azerbaijan has once again violated the international humanitarian law and the customary law by targeting exclusively peaceful settlements, which has resulted in casualties among the civilian population,” the ministry said.
“This is yet another war crime committed by the Azerbaijani leadership. The criminal leadership of Azerbaijan bears the full responsibility for further escalation of the situation,” the statement added.
