ECHR has requested information about 5 Armenian POWs from Azerbaijani government
An appeal over another 5 prisoners of wars (POWs) occurred in Azerbaijan during the large-scale war unleashed on September 27 by Azerbaijan against Artsakh has been sent to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). The Armenian servicemen held captive have been identified as Samvel Asatryan, Albert Mikayelyan, Edik Tonoyan, Valery Hayrapetyan and Arsen Karapetyan, lawyers

"Based on videos disseminated by Azerbaijani media outlets, the POWs have been identified, and applications have been sent to the European Court of Human Rights on behalf of their family members asking to apply an interim measure concerning their right to life and prohibition of inhuman or degrading treatment."
The ECHR has asked the Azerbaijani government for documented information on the Armenian POWs, specifically their location, detention conditions and medical service rendered.
The Court has set November 3 as the deadline for a response, lawyers said in a statement.
