14-year-old Vahe saves his family after driving them from Artsakh to Armenia
Fourteen-year-old Vahe Sargsyan managed to save his family after driving them out of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia as the bombing intensified in his city.
After the third day of shelling in Aknaberd, Vahe decided to drive his family out when his father was on duty.
The boy’s father taught him how to drive a car back in 2016 in order to take over if his father "got tired."
“Along the route, bombing accompanied us, even an air fighter was flying nearby. When we reached the police post, they told me to go on with a 'feisty spirit' and never stop anywhere," the kid described the route of 250 kilometers from Aknaberd to Armenia.
The family is now living in Armenia’s Hrazdan town, wishing to go back home and to live there in peace again.
