Fleeing Azerbaijani troops blocked in a gorge, completely destroyed by Artsakh forces
Fierce battles took place in the northwestern part of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan frontline on Sunday, November 1, between 8:30pm to 11:40pm, the Artsakh Defense Army’s press service said on Monday.
“In particular, the Azerbaijani side launched an attack with an entire company in the direction of two key positions of the Defense Army, which was thwarted in pitched inter-positional battles. The adversary suffered heavy losses and fled. While fleeing, they were blocked in one of the gorges and the Armenian forces continued their complete destruction through accurate mortar fire,” the military said.
The Azerbaijani troops launched another attack in the same direction with a platoon, which was also identified by the Artsakh defense forces in time and stopped due to well-planned operations.
“Our subdivisions have chased the fleeing adversary and destroyed them,” the Defense Army sad, adding at the moment the Artsakh forces are in full control of the situation in that section of the frontline.
