Artsakh forces successfully thwarted multiple Azeri attempted attacks overnight
The situation along the entire Artsakh frontline remained relatively stable but tense overnight 4-5 November, the Artsakh Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
“The enemy forces were especially active in the eastern, southeastern, and southern fronts. The multiple offensives launched by the enemy groups were successfully thwarted by the Defense Army units,” the ministry said, adding Azerbaijan suffered serious losses in manpower and military equipment.
“The enemy in strength of two assault groups attempted an attack in the northern direction as well. The attackers were pinpointed in a timely manner and destroyed by the army units. The civilian settlements of Artsakh also remained under the enemy’s artillery and rocket shelling throughout the day.
“At the moment, the attack attempts of the Azeri forces in the abovementioned directions continue. The Defence Army is in control of the operation and tactical situation along the entire frontline,” the statement read.
