Armenian PM on Artsakh armistice: We found ourselves in a situation in which there was no other option
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in his address to the nation on his Facebook page on Tuesday that the leadership of Artsakh formed a clear task of ending the war immediately, otherwise the “consequences would be terrible.”
“We found ourselves in a situation in which there was no other option,” he said.
According to him, if the Armenian side had asked for a ceasefire on September 27, it would have been on the condition of "returning or handing over" the seven regions.
"But we could not take such a step because we thought we could establish a ceasefire," he said.
Pashinyan said that the information provided by the army leadership served as the basis for the Artsakh armistice.
