Pashinyan’s spox denies reports on handing over some villages of Tavush Province to Azerbaijan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan on Tuesday refuted media reports alleging some villages of Tavush Province would be handed over to Azerbaijan. She also denied as “fake news” reports on the alleged deployment of Turkish peacekeepers in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
“The issue of deployment of Turkish peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh was never discussed, there is no word about that in the published text. Reports on it, as well as on the handover of some villages of Tavush Province to Azerbaijan are fake news and do not correspond to reality,” she wrote on Facebook.
The spokesperson urged people not to give in to provocations and asked media outlets to refrain from distorting the facts.
“The document has been officially published and you can see it for yourselves,” she said.
