Armenian expert outlines requirements new foreign minister should meet
Armenian political scientist Suren Sargsyan took to Facebook on Tuesday to outline the requirements which, accusing to him, the country’s new foreign minister should meet.
"Our new foreign minister should:
1. Be maximum acceptable, understood and recognized by Russia.
2. Master the [Nagorno-Karabakh] negotiation process in detail.
3. Have experience of direct participation in the talks.
4. Have a direct connection with the Russian leadership (also personal).
5. Be acceptable to Washington and Paris.
6. Work independently, with minimal influence from the country’s leader.
7. Have long-term experience in diplomatic service.
It is not an easy thing, but if he manages to bring back even 100 hectares as a result of the demarcation of the drawn map and if there is a 1% chance to avoid the agreement with such disgraceful statements, he should do it,” the expert said.
Sargsyan stated only two figures meet the mentioned requirements, without further elaborating.
