Deputy PM: Part of funds raised by Armenia Fund donated to Armenian government
Some part of the funds raised through the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund's “We Are Our Borders: All For Artsakh" fundraising campaign has been donated to the Armenian government, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at a Q&A session in the parliament on Wednesday.
"A part of the funds raised by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund during the war was donated to the Armenian government. In this situation, particularly at the initial stage, we considered it right to consolidate our efforts and determine spending preferences in one center, because it is clear to all of us that determining expenditure preferences over the past 45 days was the most important issue. Therefore, we decided to discuss health, social and infrastructure-related expenses together and carry them out through cooperation for those expenses to be effective," Grigoryan said.
According to the deputy prime minister, a part of the donations has naturally not been spent yet. According to him, the Armenia Fund will soon present directions of expenditures in detail.
