The member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov wrote on Facebook that on October 12 he had suggested Pashinyan to call Russian President Putin and ask for efforts to stop the war. In Sharmazanov's words, he told the PM the above-mentioned during the PM's meeting with the extra-parliamentary forces. Before that, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forced had asked the PM to exert every effort to stop the war.

"On October 20, Pashinyan rejected also Putin's suggestion for a ceasefire. To remind, according to that suggestion, the Armenian forces would keep control on Shushi and most of the Hadrut region. It would be possible to avoid huge human and territorial losses. As a result, Pashinyan signed an act of capitulation. If the Prime Minister ignores the efforts of the Chief of the General Staff, the opposition, and the Russian president, what can one call it if not a plot?" Sharmazanov wrote, adding: "Whose advice did Nikol heed when he was rejecting Putin's proposal on October 20 - Soros, Bolton or maybe 'educated' Aliyev?'
The RPA member stressed that the Prime Minister, who has ruined the state, has nothing to do but go.

To remind, in an interview aired on Russian TV on Tuesday, Vladimir Putin said on October 19-20 he held series of telephone talks with Pashinyan and Aliyev aimed at reaching an agreement and ending the war in Karabakh.

"I managed to convince President Aliyev that it was possible to end hostilities but his condition was that refugees would return to their homes, including to Shushi. I did not expect our Armenian partners to put it that way, saying that it was unacceptable for them. Prime Minister Pashinyan told me openly that he viewed it as a threat to the interests of Armenia and Karabakh," Putin had said.
