'Nikol is a traitor' - Opposition rally underway at Liberty square
A rally organised by opposition forces have started on Saturday at Liberty square in Yerevan. The participants demand the resignation of PM Pashinyan and his cabinet of ministers, chanting 'Nikol is a traitor'.
Human rights advocate Ruben Melikyan addressed the participants and said that after the disastrous defeat Nikol Pashinyan has nothing to do but leave. In his words, the regime of the martial law is illegal in the country and is exclusively aimed at hindering the rallies and public gatherings of the opposition.
"Armenia is in a political crisis, economic crisis is not far, the legal crisis is underway as the law enforcement impedes the implementation of our constitutional rights. And most importantly, a crisis of dignity is observed in our country, as authorities have no desire to resign after surrounding Artsakh and capitulating against the enemy," Melikyan stated, addressing the participants of the demonstration.
