Russian defense minister: Some 7,000 refugees have returned to Nagorno-Karabakh
Some 7,000 refugees have already returned to Nagorno-Karabakh escorted by Russian peacekeeping forces, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said at a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Vagharshak Harutyunyan in Yerevan on Saturday.
According to the minister, Russian peacekeepers have provided transportation of all columns with refugees, TASS reported.
“As of today, almost 7,000 citizens have returned, this work continues, and I am sure that everyone who would like to return to Nagorno-Karabakh will be able to do so," Shoygu said.
