President: Significant strategic programs implemented in Artsakh under Rita Sargsyan’s patronage and with her active support
Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan on Saturday extended condolences on the passing of former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s wife Rita Sargsyan.
“I have learnt with deep sorrow about the untimely demise of spouse of the third president of the Republic of Armenia, daughter of Artsakh Rita Sargsyan,” he said in a Facebook post.
“Rita Sargsyan enjoyed great love and respect in her native Artsakh. Under her patronage and with her active support significant strategic programs have been implemented in various spheres of our republic's life. Hundreds of children were born within the framework of the "Aragil" Reproductive Medicine Support Foundation Program, spreading the long-awaited light in their families. She was implementing various cultural programs with great enthusiasm, bringing her invaluable contribution to the development of culture in Artsakh.
“On behalf of the people, authorities of Artsakh and myself personally I extend my condolences and support to the family, relatives and friends of Rita Sargsyan. Her bright name will always remain in our hearts,” the president wrote.
