Armenia’s education minister sacked
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has signed a decree to dismiss Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan.
"Based on the proposal of the prime minister, in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution and Article 5 (Part 1) of the law "On the Structure and Activity of the Government", Arayik Harutyunyan is relieved of the post of Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport," reads the decree published on the president’s website.
According to another decree signed by Sarkissian, Vardan Dumanyan has been named as his replacement.
