Parliamentary committee gives negative conclusion on draft decision to lift the martial law
The National Assembly Committee for Defense and Security held a meeting on Wednesday to examine the draft decision on the lifting of martial law in the country. The draft document, submitted by the opposition Bright Armenia Party, received negative conclusion based on the vote of the Committee members.
It is noted that the issue to submit the draft decision for a debate in the National Assembly will be considered during the Committee session scheduled for Thursday.
Earlier, the leader of Bright Armenia party Edmon Marukyan stated that the regime of the martial law restricts the freedom of citizens and negatively affects the country’s economy.
