Former MP Mihran Hakobyan charged
Former Armenian lawmaker Mihran Hakobyan, a co-founder of Qaryak (Quartet) Media, has been charged, he said in a live video on Facebook.
“I have just left the building of the Investigation Department of the city of Yerevan. I have been charged with organizing illegal rallies during a martial law,” the ex-MP said.
He denied any wrongdoing, adding factually the opposition rally held in Yerevan after the Artsakh agreement had no organizer at all.
According to Hakobyan, charging him fits into the logic of the actions taken by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan against those citizens who have expressed a clear stance accusing him of committing high treason and capitulating to Azerbaijan.
"I would like to say that these actions of Nikol Pashinyan will not yield any results,” he said, reiterating his calls for the premier’s resignation.
