People expect Pashinyan to announce his resignation in new address to nation
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will address the nation in a televised message within the next hour and a half, he said in a Facebook post on Friday.
It becomes clear from the comments on the post that people expect the premier to announce his resignation in the new address.
Former Chief of Staff of the Constitutional Court, former Armenian Ambassador to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan urged Pashinyan not to address the nation if he has no plans to step down.
"If you want to say something other than announcing your resignation, do not do such a thing, do not play on people's nerves and increase the level of hatred! You will have to bear the consequences of all that,” he said in a comment, stating Pashinyan’s resignation is necessary also for the PM himself.
Many users left short comments on the post, urging the prime minister to tender his resignation.
