France's Nice Côte d’Azur calls for recognition of Artsakh
Metropole Nice Côte d'Azur, France's first metropolis, has adopted a resolution supporting the Armenian people and calling for the recognition of the Artsakh Republic by France, the Armenian Embassy in France reports.
“We propose to the Council of Metropole to approve this resolution calling on the French government:
• to use all diplomatic means necessary for the final settlement of the conflict, ensuring the lasting security of the entire population within the framework of the Minsk Group;
• to recognize the Artsakh Republic as a guarantee of security of its people, regional and global stability,
• to allow local authorities and public institutions to cooperate with their counterparts in the Artsakh Republic in developing cooperation programs and providing assistance to the population through the recognition,” the resolution reads in part.
