The parents of soldiers serving in Artsakh stop all protests after consultation at the Ministry of Defense
The parents of soldiers, who have been protesting outside the government building and the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense demanding the return of their sons from Artsakh to Armenia, have stopped all protest actions at present. They issued a statement, saying the decision was made following the recent consultation at the Ministry of Defense.
"We want to inform that the meeting at the Ministry of Defense was fruitful. We had prepared a package of questions regarding the security guarantees to the servicemen, the basic conditions of their service, the medical care, the moral-psychological condition of the troops as well as a range of private matters. We cannot disclose the details of the meeting out of security considerations of the army and the state, and want to stress that at present we are satisfied with responses we received at the ministry," the statement said in part.
According to the parents, the defense ministry representatives have provided updates on the real state of affairs as well as facts that the ministry is actively working on urgent matters concerning the soldiers serving in Artsakh.
