Russian peacekeepers removed explosive remnants from the territory of a secondary school in Stepanakert
Russian peacekeepers continue to demine social facilities in Nagorno-Karabakh ,Ria Novosty reported, citing the defense ministry update. According to the source, over the past day, a survey of the area, search and cleaning of explosive objects from the territory of secondary school No. 10 in Stepanakert was completed.
Russian military personnel of the Humanitarian Demining Center checked the school and the surrounding area for the presence of explosive objects. In addition, specialists of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides provided work to restore electricity and heat supply, as well as safe delivery of necessary school property and material resources.
In the near future, with the support of Russian peacekeepers, it is planned to open other educational institutions.
In total, engineering units in Nagorno-Karabakh cleared more than 34 hectares of land, about 12 kilometers of roads, checked more than 110 houses and social facilities, and found and neutralized 1077 explosive objects, the source said.
