Kremlin welcomes the idea of making Russian second official language in Nagorno-Karabakh and ready to assist to further disseminate it, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has told reporters.
"Obviously, we welcome the idea and ready to contribute to the its further spread and preservation," Peskov was quoted by Lenta.ru as saying.
He has noted that Russian is widely used in Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenia and Azerbaijan as well as in other post-soviet territories. At the same time, the Kremlin reporesentative has stressed that Russia has not suggested to give official status to Russian in Armenia and Azerbaijan, as it remains 'an internal affair of every country.'
To remind, the idea of making Russian an official language in Nagorno-Karabakh was earlier reported by
WarGonzo Telegram Channel, which cited own sources in Artsakh parliament.
