National Agenda Party calls for criminal proceedings against Pashinyan for ‘treason’
The opposition National Agenda Party calls on the law enforcement authorities to launch a criminal case against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for “committing treason” and to stop the “political persecutions under the guise of criminal proceedings.”
In a statement on Wednesday, the party said that they will organize a protest with that demand in front of the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia on Thursday, December 3, at 1pm.
Incidentally, former Constitutional Court member Kim Balayan had gone on a hunger strike earlier in September, demanding Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation, as well as criminal proceedings against him for an “overthrow” of the constitutional order.
