Russia has not changed its stance on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh, Peskov says
Russia has not changed its stance on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday, Ria Novosti reported.
"The belonging of the territory (Nagorno-Karabakh) is determined by the respective resolutions of the UN Security Council, which are quite old. The Security Council resolutions reflect all these issues. Russia has not changed its stance and in fact no country has changed," Peskov said in response to comment on Russia's position on the status of Karabakh after the recent war.
The Kremlin representative recalled Russian President Putin's remarks made earlier that Karabakh has not been recognized as an independent state, including by Armenia.
