Homeland Salvation Movement urges all to head to Yerevan square for nationwide rally
The Homeland Salvation Movement of Armenia’s opposition parties call on everyone to gather at the Liberty Square in downtown Yerevan for a nationwide rally on Saturday, at 3pm.
“Come and join us! The borders of our country are in danger. Our homeland is in danger. Our future is under threat,” the movement said in a Facebook post.
The opposition announced on Thursday that the council of 17 political parties had decided to expand its format and establish a Homeland Salvation Movement comprising of political parties, intellectuals and wide circles of the society. It also named Vazgen Manukyan as its candidate for interim prime minister.
