Communist Party of Armenia demands Pashinyan’s resignation
The Communist Party of Armenia issued a statement on Monday demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"For two and a half years already, the Communist Party of Armenia has been sounding the alarm that the political adventurers who seized power in Armenia are leading our country to destruction, which we are witnessing on a daily basis,” the party said.
“The disgraceful defeat in Artsakh, with its bitter consequences, the collapse of the healthcare system, economic crash and extreme polarization of the society show that the prime minister and the entire government must resign.
“The prime minister of Armenia, in the person of Nikol Pashinyan, is no longer capable of taking a positive step for our country, even if he really wants to. We will be facing tough times and Nikol Pashinyan is largely to blame for it, thus it is necessary for him to tender his resignation within the scope of the constitution and leave without causing any turbulence,” the statement said.
