"You have become the symbol of failure, weakness, and humiliation, and this is the conviction of a vast number of people," opposition MP from Bright Armenia party Anna Kostanyan said at parliament, addressing a question to PM Nikol Pashinyan. 

"You have justified the handover of territories by huge losses, have justified the defeat and became the source of national mourning. When you insist that the demand for resignation should come from people, you contradict yourself, as the people you refer, are here, are outside the National Assembly, in the square, streets, and they call for your resignation," Kostanyan said. 

The opposition MP next said that the country is exhausted, thrown back for an indefinite period, and the person responsible for the situation may no longer continue ruling, should leave immediately. 

In response to the MPs' remarks, Pashinyan challenged the claim that vast number of people is against him. "3% and 5% are also considered to be vast number of people. I believe no vast number exists even. The people who are not in the square are also of vast number. The method to determine which part of the population is considered to be vast is a question of political subjectivity," said Pashinyan.
