Artur Vanetsyan: We have no expectation but a demand
The leader of Homeland party Artur Vanetsyan along with his supporters, members of the party and numerous citizens is heading to the National Assembly, where the rally initiated by the Homeland Salvation Front is to start.
"We have no more expectation but a clear demand. The bastard, who led the country to the current crisis, should leave. Along with people, we must continue our protests until the political corpse clinging to power is removed," Vanetsyan told reporters during the march, referring to the opposition demand for Pashinyan's resignation.
The leader of Homeland party next pointed to widespread support among the citizens as they actively participate in opposition rallies. In his words, the President of Armenia, the Catholicos, two opposition fractions of the parliament, educational institutions, heads of communities and local councils are united in their call for Pashinyan's resignation. He also explained Pashinyan's motives to stay in power by either a desire to complete his 'unfulfilled obligations' or out of fear.
"As I have stated, we are ready to provide security guarantees to him," said Vanetsyan, adding Pashinyan should make a decision and go immediately to avoid 'inevitable consequences.'
The participants of the march, heading to the National Assembly, are chanting 'Nikol, you are a traitor,' 'Armenia without Nikol.'
