Armenian deputy PM: Process of verifying lists of POWs underway
Both Armenia and Azerbaijan have handed over the lists of prisoners of war (POWs) to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Currently, the process of verifying the lists is underway, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan said at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on POWs, hostages and missing persons on Thursday.
Everything possible is being done to speed up the swap process as much as possible, Avinyan said, according to a statement of his office.
"Today we will also discuss the necessary legislative amendments, as well as issues related to increasing the efficiency of search operations, DNA examinations, providing psychological support and the operation of the hotline," the deputy PM said.
