Opposition figure reiterates call for Pashinyan’s immediate resignation
Leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Armenia Aram Sargsyan reiterated their call for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s immediate resignation to give the opposition a chance to save the homeland.
"In recent days, some media outlets have reported that the Democratic Party of Armenia has left the format of 17 parties [demanding Pashinyan’s resignation]. In fact, we have expressed our concerns to our partners over the tactics,” Sargsyan said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Upholding its principles, the Democratic Party of Armenia made a demand at a crucial time for our country and nation: Nikol Pashinyan and the government must resign immediately to make it possible to ensure stability and progress in the country.
“We reaffirm our position with a statement adopted a few days ago,” the statement said.
