Over 600 refugees return to their homes in Artsakh in one day
Russian peacekeepers have escorted buses with refugees who are returning to their homes in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) from the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
647 people were delivered from Yerevan to Stepanakert by buses on Tuesday. The buses were escorted by patrols of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and military police, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Russian peacekeepers conduct round-the-clock monitoring of the situation at twenty-three observation posts.
Russian peacekeepers provide the security of the return of the citizens to their places of permanent residence, the humanitarian aid, the restoration of civil infrastructure facilities.
In total, more than 40,3 thousand refugees have already returned to their places of permanent residence in Nagorno-Karabakh.
