Around 60,000 citizens benefited from state programs for war-affected citizens in Artsakh, Armenia, minister says
The government of Armenia offers a 6-month support program to reimburse the expenses of temporary accommodation of adult citizens registered in communities left out the control of the Artsakh Republic as a result of the military actions. As the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Movses Arakelyan said during the cabinet session, the families that provided housing to Artsakh citizens will get financial assistance in the amount of 30 thousand drams for each adult citizen, and 45 thousand drams - for providing housing in the Republic of Artsakh. The potential beneficiaries can apply for the lump-sum financial support electronically.
In the minister's words, two other government programs aimed at supporting war-affected citizens are underway. To date, 90 thousand people have applied and 85 thousand were notified about the opportunity.
"Around 60 thousand citizens have received the financial support, the process continues to involve other beneficiaries," Arakelyan stressed.
