Homeland Salvation Front sets ultimatum for the ruling faction
The opposition Homeland Salvation Movement set on Tuesday an ultimatum until 18.00 for deputies of the ruling "My Step" faction to send a delegation and hold discussions with the leaders of opposition on the current situation in the country. This was stated by the coordinator of the Salvation Front Gegham Manukyan during the rally at Republic Square in Yerevan.
"Given the fact that the one in the government building is a crazy traitor, we are forced to seek ways out of the current crisis and suggest the members of 'My Step" faction to come and discuss the situation with us since we are a parliamentary country and any solution should come through the parliament," Saghatelyan stressed.
The representative of the opposition stated that the Government building, the Prosecutor General's office, and the Ministry of Education are surrounded by protesters, and the civil disobedience actions continue.
"This will be a consistent, decisive and persistent struggle. There are difficulties, the weather is cold, yet we are firm and are standing together. The future of our country is being decided at this decisive moment. I call on all to gather at Republic Square," Saghatelyan stated, adding their future actions will be announced once they get the ruling faction response. Saghatelyan didn't exclude the possibility of setting up tents to stay overnight in the square.
