Defense minister visits the Peacekeeping brigade
Defense Minister of Armenia Vaghinak Harutyunyan visited on Tuesday the Peacekeeping brigade of the Defense Ministry. Commander of the brigade, Major General Artak Tonoyan briefed the minister on organizational structure of the brigade, the functions of humanitarian peacekeeping missions implemented as part of international cooperation.
Minister Harutyunyan attached importance to the mission of the peacekeeping brigade servicemen, gave concrete instruction to the command staff of the military unit and outlined future directions of the work.
In the scope of the visit, Minister Harutyunyan toured the military base, got familiarized with the conditions in the classrooms and the quarter of the unit.
