Armenian, Iranian FMs reaffirm readiness to deepen cooperation
Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian had a phone conversation on Monday with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif. As the press department at the Ministry reported, issues of bilateral cooperation and regional agenda were discussed during the conversation.
"The interlocutors touched upon issues of regional security and stability. In this context, cooperation prospects for addressing new regional challenges were outlined. On behalf of the Iranian side, Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed condolences for the victims of the Artsakh war and expressed support to the people of Armenia," the source said.
The interlocutors also highlighted the intensification of the dialogue and interactions at different levels based on the centuries-long friendship of the two peoples. The parties also reaffirmed mutual readiness to deepen the close cooperation in the bilateral, as well as multilateral formats, according to the ministry release.
