Defense Army denies Azerbaijani reports about 'attack' on its troops in Artsakh
The Defense Army of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic released a statement on Monday, commenting on Azerbaijani reports about an alleged military incident in Artsakh.
"The Azerbaijani side continues spreading disinformation about an 'attack on its troops' by 'an Armenian armed group.' The Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan claimed about the incident in a statement," according to the release.
"As already announced hours ago, we reinstate that all day yesterday and as of this moment, no unit and serviceman of the Artsakh Defense Army participated in a military action, no emergency incident has been recorded and not a single shot was fired from the Armenian side," the Defense Army said, adding the statement released by Azeri side is nothing than 'information provocation of the Azerbaijani propaganda.'
To note, the statement comes just hours after the Armenian Defense Ministry dismissed media reports of fighting in the Hadrut region, saying the Armenian forces in Nagorno-Karabakh were strictly observing the cease-fire.
