I have told to his face what is stated publicly, Tsarukyan says after meeting with Pashinyan
The leader of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan concluded his meeting with PM Nikol Pashinyan held on Tuesday in the parliament. "He wanted us to meet and we met. My position has not changed," Tsarukyan tld reporters after the meeting.
"I have to his face what is stated publicly. The only way out of the occurred situation in the country is through his immediate resignation," the leader of the largest opposition faction of parliament stressed.
Speaking of the possibility to organize nap parliamentary elections, Tsarukyan pointed to the need of having an interim prime minister. "If that is acceptable to them, we will move to other topics for discussion," he said. At a clarifying question, whether his party will participate in the elections if authorities decide to hold them, Tsarukyan noted he had already commented on that.
To note, Prosperous Armenia Party, led by Gagik Tsarukyan, is among 16 political forces, which have formed the Homeland Salvation Movement and demand the resignation of the prime minister.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced readiness to hold snap parliamentary elections in 2021 to resolve the political crisis in Armenia and expressed an intention to hold political consultations with parliamentary and extra-parliamentary political forces for that purpose.
