Some roads in Armenia closed, difficult to pass
Some roads in Armenia are impassable or difficult to pass as of Monday morning, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
In particular, the roadways leading to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari of Aragatsotn Province are closed to traffic.
Vardenyats Pass is closed for trailer trucks and open for other vehicles.
Shurnukh-Goris highway of Syunik Province is partly icy
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry said that the decision to ban entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in force. The ban does not apply to the freight transport.
The ministry strongly urges drivers to use winter tires.
