Opposition figure: I don’t authorize Nikol Pashinyan to speak on my behalf
Lawyer Artur Ghazinyan, who heads the opposition One Armenia party, has reacted to the upcoming meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders in Moscow, stating any treaty that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan may sign during the meeting cannot be put into effect in Armenia.
"I, Artur Ghazinyan, a dignified citizen of the Republic of Armenia, announce that:
1. I do not authorize Nikol Pashinyan to speak on my behalf, negotiate or sign any document;
2. Nikol Pashinyan does not express the will of the Armenian nation and acts beyond the laws of the Republic of Armenia;
3. Any international document signed by him cannot be legally binding and is not subject to application in the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia by public administration or local self-government bodies,” he wrote on Facebook.
