Ministry of Justice spox denies reports of receiving any ‘treaty’ ahead of Moscow talks between Armenia, Azerbaijan
The spokeswoman of Armenia’s Ministry of Justice denies media reports that the ministry has received a draft treaty which is allegedly planned to be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan during an upcoming trilateral meeting in Moscow.
Citing its sources, the channel MediaPort on Telegram said on Thursday that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan “is going to make new concessions in Moscow." "The document was secretly sent to the Ministry of Justice today in order to conform it with the Constitution," it said.
“The Ministry of Justice has not received any treaty through any procedure. The news disseminated by the media is false,” spokesperson Lusine Martirosyan wrote on Facebook on Friday.
Earlier on Friday, human rights activist Ruben Melikyan urged people to gather outside the ministry at 12pm to get clarifications on the matter.
“We demand information about what the treaty is about, what we are giving up and what we are getting. In general, what is the legal content of the treaty?" he said.
