Mikayel Minasyan: Nikol Pashinyan alone decided to continue war in Artsakh
"Regardless of my attitude towards Mikayel Hambardzumyan, his interview was deep, competent and important. He is already the third high-ranking officer, after Movses Hakobyan and Onik Gasparyan, who sheds light on [Prime Minister] Nikol Pashinyan's actions during the war," former Armenian Ambassador to the Vatican Mikayel Minasyan wrote on Telegram.
He states that if Armenia had signed a peace deal on 20 October despite having suffered heavy losses in the war, it would not have amounted to Artsakh's capitulation.
"Today it is already clear that the senior officers have fully informed Pashinyan about the frontline situation. Nikol deliberately hid the proposals from the members of the Security Council, at least he concealed Putin's proposal on October 20. Today it is already clear that Nikol alone made the decision to continue the war, even when the experts warned of the risks of its continuation. Most importantly, (Mikael Hambardzumyan did not talk about it), we all know that even after October 20, Nikol was offered scenarios for the end of the war, which were also rejected," the ex-ambassador said.
Mikayel Minasyan notes that the conclusions from the above mentioned are “deplorable.”
“1. The Sultan wanted to spit on the opinion of experts. But don't think that it's accidental, it was a carefully thought-out tactic.
2. Nikol has a plan. He came to power to promote the interests of Azerbaijan and Turkey. The plan is still in progress; it has not been suspended.
"And if someone thinks that everything is over, they are mistaken. Everything is in progress," he added.
