Police major resigns, joins calls for Armenian PM’s resignation
Armenian Police Major Edgar Galoyan has resigned and joined calls for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation.
In a Facebook post announcing his resignation, the police officer said he has made the decision taking into account the social and political situation in the country.
“I am convinced that police officers staying true to their calling and professional dignity will eventually realize that the mission of law enforcement officers is to serve the state and the people,” he wrote.
