Vazgen Manukyan offers condolences on demise of merited actor Vigen Stepanyan
Vazgen Manukyan, the candidate of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement for interim prime minister, expressed condolences on the demise of famous actor, stage director, Honored Art Worker of Armenia Vigen Stepanyan, who died on Tuesday at the age of 68.
“The death of Honored Art Worker of Armenia Vigen Stepanyan is a great loss and pain for all of us.
“Vigen Stepanyan was not only a brilliant actor, talented stage director and filmmaker, but also an intellectual, principled citizen who expressed a clear civic position, had a high sense of responsibility towards his country and people,” the opposition figure said in a statement.
“He opposed all the negative phenomena that have taken root in our country, especially recently. He was ready to play an active role in resolving those problems though various way, and one of the ways was the Homeland Salvation Movement.
“We express our deepest condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the renowned intellectual,” the statement said.
