Fallen soldier Grigor Ghazaryan would have turned 20 today
Today, January 20, marks the birthday anniversary of Armenian soldier Grigor Ghazaryan, who fell defending Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in the 44-day war in 2020. The hero soldier would have turned 20 today.
The news of the soldier’s death was released on 1 October.
Grigor was born in Yerevan and served at the military unit known as Yeghnikner.
“Grigor was full of life, enthusiastic, dreamy ... He was engaged in equestrian sports and was a member of the National Scout Organization of Armenia,” Monte daily reported.
“He loved the homeland without pathos, always attaching importance to the word "patriotism" when working with children and meekly explaining the meaning of the word to each new member of the group. His life was bright, full of love and warmth ...
"Eternal glory, the homeland defender!” the newspaper wrote.
