Armenians hold protest in Russia, demand release of POWs held in Azerbaijan
Russian Armenians staged a protest in front of the Russian Foreign Ministry building on Thursday, calling on the relevant structures to fulfill their commitments and arrange the repatriation of the Armenian prisoners of war (POWs) held in Azerbaijan.
"My friends are joining the protest today.
“Our number keeps growing, our voice will definitely be heard,” Davit Tonoyan, an Armenian living in Moscow, wrote on Facebook.
“We urge the Russian Foreign Ministry to fulfill its commitments to reach an immediate and final solution to the issue of the exchange of prisoners in accordance with the 8th point of the tripartite agreement.
"Freedom to all POWs of the Artsakh war!" he said.
